How do I register my child for soccer?

What’s the deadline for registration?

Registration remains open until the end of March, and even then player may be added to rosters with approval from the Soccer Director.  However, rosters places fill up quickly in February, and so early registration maximizes the chances of coach or player requests being fulfilled.

Do I need anything before I register?

You will need a current community league membership from any Edmonton community league.

Will there be practices?

Practice and practice schedule is determined by your coach.  They will communicate with you directly once they are confirmed.

When will I know who my coach is / when will I hear from my coach?

After team declaration in early to mid April.

What will I have to provide for my child?

Typically, you will need to provide soccer shoes or runners, shin pads, and shorts.  Colour of shorts and socks may be requested by your coach.  Jerseys are provided.

How do I request a specific coach?

You may request a specific coach during the online registration.  You are encouraged to request a coach if you are a returning player.  Late registration may result in rosters being full, so register early to improve the chance of getting the coach of you choice.  Every effort is made to accommodate requests but assurance is not guaranteed.

How do I get my child on their friend’s team?

You may request a friend’s team during the online registration.  Late registration may result in rosters being full, so register early to improve the chance of being placed on the roster of a friend.  Every effort is made to accommodate requests but assurance is not guaranteed.

How do I pay?

You may drop a cheque (made out to the Crestwood Community League) in the mailbox at 14325 96 Avenue.  You may pay online here:  https://crestwoodcommunityleague.ca/sports/soccer/

Where is the mailbox at the Hall?

It is located on the fence around the tennis courts / ice rink facing the parking lots.  It is immediately above the sandbox.

Do I have to live in Crestwood to play for a Crestwood?

No, you may transfer in to the community program with the approval of you home community and the approval of Crestwood Soccer.
