Screening of Screenagers: Growing Up In The Digital Age

Lynnwood Community League are hosting a screening of “Screenagers: Growing Up In The Digital Age” at the Lynnwood Elementary School on Tuesday June 4th, 6:30pm – 8:00pm. This film is suitable for anyone 10 years and older.
 
Screenagers is “an award winning film that probes into the vulnerable corners of family life and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games, and academics. The film offers solutions on how we can help our kids navigate the digital world. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, Screenagers reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance”.
 
We are selling tickets are $7.50 + fees, should any monies be raised after paying the licensing fee it will go towards our future playground upgrades.
 
 
 

HIKE for Pilgrims Hospice

The HIKE takes place on Sunday May 5. It starts at Pilgrims and walks through the McKinnon Ravine.

We are calling a Special General Meeting for Thursday, May 9 at 7pm.
We will be adding a few Director Positions, updating the name of some existing positions, and updating the language to gender neutral wording in our bylaws (as well as a few other updates).

Parkview Community League is pleased to host a Candidates forum for the Edmonton-Riverview riding. Come down to the Parkview Community Hall on Sunday April 7th, at 6:30 P.M. to listen to your Candidates take questions that have been submitted prior to the event as well as taking some questions from the floor. Each Candidate has been offered an invitation to attend the event, as of this time our confirmed guests our:

The casino is one of the biggest fundraising opportunities for your community! We need at least 32 volunteers to donate time to this effort.

KEY SHIFTS
General Manager x 4:
Tuesday 11:15 am-7:00 pm, 6:45 pm-3:30 am
Wednesday  11:15 am-7:00 pm, 6:45 pm-3:30 am

Banker x 4:
Tuesday 11:15 am-7:00 pm, 6:45 pm-3:30 am
Wednesday  11:15 am-7:00 pm, 6:45 pm-3:30 am

Cashier x 8 (2 per shift):
Tuesday 11:30 am-7:30 pm, 7:00 pm-3:30 am
Wednesday  11:30 am-7:30 pm, 7:00 pm-3:30 am

Count Room Supervisor x 2:
Tuesday 11:30 pm-3:30 am
Wednesday  11:30 pm-3:30 am

CHIP RUNNERS AND COUNT ROOM STAFF
We will also need 8 chip runners and 12 count room volunteers.

All positions are easy and training on the job is provided. Note you can sign up for more than one shift, but you can only volunteer for one position i.e. banker. Friends, family are welcome provided they are 18+

Sportball Edmonton is back this Spring! Classes start April 8 – June 24, 2019!
Have your kids enjoy the multi sport program and learn new skills while having fun!
Class times are as usual, every Monday starting April 8!
4:30 pm: 2-3 years (parented)
5:15 pm: 3.5 years – 5 years 
6:15 pm: 5-7 years
