Crestwood Parkland Redevelopment News

October 9, 2020

Have you ever wondered why the Community League playground is so new but the rink and tennis courts on the other side… aren’t?  If so, you’ll be happy to know that Phase 3 of the Crestwood Parkland Redevelopment Project is now underway!

For those of you who don’t know the history: in 2014, the Community League developed a Master Plan for renewal of the league grounds.

  • Phase 1 was the new playground, complete in 2016.
  • Phase 2 was the fire pit, plaza and seating areas beside the playground, complete in 2017.
  • Phase 3 will be the renewal of the area between the Community League Hall and Curling Club which includes the outdoor rink, tennis courts and adjacent hard surface areas.

The Crestwood Parkland Redevelopment Committee is responsible for planning this project and we are in need of more members.  Please email cprc@cclboard.ca if you are would like more information about any of these roles:

  • Secretary
  • Communications Director
  • Fundraising Director
  • We are also looking for one or two students to join our committee. Anyone in Grade 7 and up who is interested in getting involved in the community and having input on this project are welcome.

Finally, as we start this process, we want to know what you think.  In the next little while, we will be asking you to complete a short survey of how you currently use this space and what activities you would like to see supported.  So stay tuned!
